Work + entertainment from Edison
Edison and i was chatting in office while working. haha. he was telling me some grandmother-story-like thing the whole day. but it is meaningful. im quite surprised he at this age can tell me so many things. and it's not nonsense...
Ruiqi, dont faint while reading this huh.. it's going to be another grandmother-story-like thing here again. hahaha.
ok here it goes.
firstly, Edison talked about the value of life. haha. he asked me a question.
"what is valued life?"
i think for few minutes but couldnt get him an answer. he told me, if my life is all about work and earning money, then upon death, i will realised that i have lived my whole live in vain. so i replied. almost all of us are the same. you have to work to earn income to support you and your family. though money is not everything. but without money you cant do anything.
his explanation was, "value of life is earned through certain process when you seek for something. that value can only be gained when you walk the path.. it's not something to be stated or answerable.. its something you need to find out yourself.. the "gain" is the value and not just the experience itself."
i thought for awhile and finally understood what he meant.

talk and talk and talk. till the topic suddenly become best friends, betrayal blablabla...
to me, i dont believe in best friends. cos even the bestest friend that you had, might betray you one fine day. in order not to let myself hurt deeply once again, i stayed out of this best friend thing. what is best friend? how much to consider someone as best friend? how much to consider someone as good friend? it's not something that can be measured by ruler. yes i agree on this. it's definitely not measured by how long that friendship can be. if you say that how long a friendship can be determines one to be best friend, i doubt so. i can have a friend whom i know for 10 years. does it mean that he/she is my best friend? no.. it different for all of us to determine what is best friend...
Edison got this into my brains..
he said i dont have to be afraid of friend betraying me. cos it's a process to discover the true friend. to filter out a good and a bad, it takes time. not just by one day or two. some will get hurt, so that you will proceed to find the real friend. if you dont want, then you will stop there. it's not up to us to decide which friend we want.
you be friend with someone cos you accepted him/her. not cos you want to change them. one's character is being brought up since the day he/she is born. he/she is born with it. you cant possible change it. maybe a little, but it's never gonna be a whole. you dont ask people to change just to suit you. but for their own good. but if that person is not gonna change, you cant force too.
enough of the "story".. might continue one day when i have the time.
this guy ah. never fails to absorb something from him. he is very crappy at times (if not how to entertain me when im at office right.. LOL). haha. we talk until like sisters.. haha. oopss. or brothers.. hahahahaha.
something weird happened in office today. not gonna talk much about it here. haha.
im thinking what should i wear tmr...
off to my bed now... IT'S FRIDAY TMR!!!!! yuhoo.. shopping day on saturday. haha. i did some shopping yesterday. bought a tube dress and heels. gonna collect the heels on saturday. and more shopping.. with dearest cousin next friday... hehe...
